AUSTIN A35
Panel Van 848cc (1963/A)
GENUINE 44,000 MILES FROM NEW
Middlehurst Road Race & Classic present this 1963 Austin A35 Van finished in Farina Grey (GR11) which has only covered a genuine and mere 44,120 miles from new, with complete ownership history from the day it was registered new in August 1963.
We have owned this lovely little van since we purchased it off the Chairman of the Austin Longbridge Federation, Mike Lashford in January 2016. Mike had owned it since 2001 and the previous owner to that, Mr. Warwick owned it since approx. 1965! It was originally registered on 20/08/1963 and first owned by Austin Motor Company and then sold to Bird Bros Eggs in Halesowen, Worcester, which we assume used it to deliver eggs!
Since we acquired 'Albert' in 2016 it has been proudly on display in our dealership showrooms and drove occasionally to a couple of car shows. It remains extremely original, with all original body panels and it is completely rust free. All we decided to do was to fully repaint the outside of the vehicle but chose to leave the door shuts and under the engine bay etc to preserve its wonderful original patina.
All of the 'sign writing' is vinyl so it can be easily removed if the new owner prefers.
We have a wonderful history file present with the original 'buff' logbook, old MOT's, invoices, drivers handbook, etc.
As always, viewing is highly recommended to fully appreciate this wonderful example.
